1st March 2017 - World Radio was founded by Isaac Mulcrone. The station's slogan was 'Bringing the world to your radio'. At the time, our CEO was 15 years of age with only two years of experience in radio broadcasting.
10th March 2017 - World Radio was re-branded to Youth Jam Radio. The change was to facilitate our audience and present ourselves as a niche service. The station's slogan became 'Perth's Positive Alternative' and we made a pledge to air content that was free from sexual/drug references, as well as explicit language. Youth Jam Radio also began partnering with youth groups and broadcasting live from their events on Friday nights. Youth Jam Radio began recruiting and training volunteers in its on-going training program.
April 2017 - Youth Jam Radio had its first fundraising appeal. The station only raised $88.97, but it was a starting point of our growing organisation.
3rd June 2019 - Youth Jam Radio unveiled its new logo at its first public open day. The logo was unveiled by CEO, Isaac Mulcrone, alongside a member of Parliament, as well as his management team. The station also unveiled its new slogan, 'Made by youth, for youth'.
October 2019 - Youth Jam Radio raised its largest ever amount in an on-air fundraising appeal EVER! Thanks to the generosity of listeners, the station raised $1,500.
January 2020 - Youth Jam Radio launched its 2020: New Vision. We altered our name to simply, Youth Jam. We also changed our logo to the current Youth Jam logo.
April 2020 - Youth Jam re-branded to Youth Talk Radio.
30th April 2020 - Youth Talk reached 22,000* listeners.
20th June 2020 - Dyana Ebian is awarded the Volunteer of the Year award for 2020.
20th February 2021 - Youth Talk Radio re-launches as Youth Jam and continues to operate under the successful YJR banner.
27th February 2021 - Youth Jam records a 28% increase in daily listenership and Jack Shaw is awarded the Volunteer of the Year award for 2021, alongside Paige Busher (2nd) and Nicola Bourgault (3rd).
