We're looking for trainee/volunteer journalists to tell the stories of West Aussie young people

Youth Jam Media is Perth's dedicated youth media network, providing content tailored to a hyper-local, youth demographic (12-25). With the ability to reach a growing number of West Australians through social media and podcasting, our mission is to give young people a voice whilst defining creativity, authenticity and fun.

We're currently looking for a range of passionate individuals to join the Youth Jam team in a volunteer online journalist role - with opportunities to upskill in other areas.

The role will see successful applicants produce compelling video, written and podcast content for the network's social media, digital and audio assets. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to canvas young people's points-of-view and represent them to our growing audience.

Youth Jam boasts a hybrid working model, with opportunities to work from home, in the community, at the local library or even - if you're game - in space (note, Youth Jam Media Incorporated will not be purchasing flights to space and is not insured if you choose to work from the ISS)! Shifts and expectations will be adapted to your level of commitment.

If you're passionate about young people, providing them a voice, explaining/dissecting the news/issues that matter to them and keen on having some fun, then this role is right up your alley!
